Abstract

This paper develops a two-level supply chain model comprising an e-commerce platform and a third-party vendor, integrating an AI-driven information disclosure strategy and pricing mechanism into a unified analytical framework. It investigates the impact of their interplay on supply chain performance. The findings indicate that the effect of AI on pricing is jointly constrained by information disclosure and commission rates, while market demand relies heavily on consumer platform preference and matching efficiency. Furthermore, significant divergence exists in the strategic preferences of supply chain entities, and—somewhat counterintuitively—consumers benefit the least when AI improves matching precision. Finally, platforms must coordinate commission rates, information disclosure, and pricing strategies holistically, and regulatory authorities should monitor the algorithmic price-coordination effect to ensure a fair distribution of technological dividends.
